Stirling’s Historic Kings Park Walk, followed by AGM

Braco Circular

Grade C+: 7.5mls/4.5hrs Ascent: 200m/650ft Depart: LACP at 09:30 Walk start: Small car park in Feddel Road FK15 9QG Return Mileage – 30 at 10:15 OS: 57 GR: NN836097 Description: This walk takes us from the centre of Braco to the hills above the village. It is a gentle incline through woodland, open hillside and riverside. There are lovely views over Strathallan and the Ochil hills beyond Note:  RADO CWRA. Clackmannan and the Black Devon

Grade C: 7.3mls/4hrs Ascent: 140m/460ft Depart: LACP at 09:30 Walk start: Morrisons Supermarket car park, Clackmannan Road, Alloa FK10 1RQ Return mileage 15 at 10:00 OS: 58 GR: NS899927 Description: Starting on the outskirts of Alloa, the walk follows a section of the Black Devon and then heads towards Clackmannan, passing the Clackmannan Tower before returning to the starting point. Good views of the Forth. We go via Pattiesmuir passing Douglas Bank Cemetery then Broomhall estate and Limekilns. We pass Rosyth old church on return. The Stevenson Way – Doune to Stirling Linear

Grade B: 9.5mls/5.5hrs Ascent: 150m/490ft Depart: Bus stop Lower Bridge Street, Stirling FK8 1AB at 09:01 Walk start: Bus stop Balkerach Street, Doune FK16 6DE Bus 59 at 09:24 OS: 57 GR: NN726017 Description: We follow in the footsteps of David Balfour, of ‘Kidnapped’ on this lowland section of the Stevenson Way. The later stages of the route takes us along the banks of the Allan Water and the River Forth. Note:  RADO NoSC. Bus number 59 . FK2 7ZT Return mileage 27 at 10:00 OS: 65 GR: NS906819 Description: We explore the sheltered Lower Carron River and the Kelpies along riverside paths, and footpaths following the lade of The Carron Works. We take in “Love and Kisses” and we cross two smart new footbridges.
